Pakistan pace bowler Shabbir Ahmed left for the west Australian capital of Perth on Saturday to work on his bowling action with bowling coach Daryl Foster.
Ahmed, 27, was reported for a suspect action after the fifth and final one-day international against New Zealand on January 18 in Wellington.
"Hopefully Shabbir will be back in time to be considered for selection for the home series against India," Pakistan Cricket Board spokesman Samiul Hasan said on Saturday.
"Foster did some excellent work with Shoaib Akhtar when he was having problems two years ago. We hope he will be able to work out any flaws in Shabbir's action."
