The Board of Control for Cricket in India says it will abide by the government's directive on the cricket team's tour of Pakistan.
"Whatever advice we receive from the government we will abide by that," BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya said, when informed that the Home Ministry wants tour to be held after the Lok Sabha polls.

"As of now I have not received any communication, written or verbal, from the government," Dalmiya added.
The Board president said a government's representative is also part of the three-member BCCI delegation currently in Pakistan to assess the security arrangements and probably his report to the government will be taken into consideration.
The delegation, headed by BCCI joint-secretary Ratnakar Shetty is scheduled to return on Monday after scrutinizing security arrangements at six venues in Pakistan. The team also includes Yashovardhan Azad, IGP (security) in the Union Home Ministry and brother of cricketer-turned-politician and BJP MP Kirti Azad.
