Irfan Pathan is top wicket-taker

Australia [ Images ] confirmed their status as world champions by wrapping up the best-of-three tri-series finals 2-0 against India [ Images ], at the Sydney [ Images ] Cricket Ground by 208 runs.

Though the Indian bowling was treated with disdain by the Australian batsmen, Irfan Pathan [ Images ] ended the series as the top wicket-taker with 16 wickets. Australian wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist [ Images ] was the top run-getter in the series with 498 runs from eight matches which included two fifties and a hundred at a strike rate of 122.
