India win toss, elect to bat

Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly won the toss and elected to bat against Australia in the eleventh match of the VB Series at the WACA ground in Perth.

Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag returned for India while Adam Gilchrist stood in as captain for Ricky Ponting. Mike Hussey replaced the injured Michael Bevan while Simon Katich came in for Ponting.  

India lost two early wickets to the express pace of Brett Lee. Tendulkar and VVS Laxman were both caught at the wicket. After six overs, india were 32-2.

India: Sourav Ganguly (captain), Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, Yuvraj Singh, Rohan Gavaskar, VVS Laxman, Ajit Agarkar, Murali Kartik, Laxmipathy Balaji and Irfan Pathan.

Australia: Adam Gilchrist (captain), Matthew Hayden, Mike Hussey, Damien Martyn, Simon Katich, Andrew Symonds, Michael Clarke, Jason Gillespie, Brad Williams, Brett Lee and Andy Bichel.
