The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association would felicitate legendary batsman and Wisden Special award winner Mushtaq Ali on his 90th birthday on Friday.
Former President of the BCCI, Raj Singh Dungarpur andĀ former India skipper Chandu Borde would specially honour the great cricketer at a function at Usharaje Cricket grounds in Indore.
Born on December 17, 1914 in Indore, Ali was the first Indian to score a century away from home, a feat which he achieved in England in 1936.
When greeted on the occasion, Ali said, "Long live India and long live Indian cricket".
