Ganguly fined 30% of match fee

India [ Images ] skipper Sourav Ganguly [ Images ] was fined 30 per cent of his match fee for breach of the ICC [ Images ] Code of Conduct on the fourth day of the second Test against South Africa [ Images ] in Kolkata [ Images ] on Wednesday.

Ganguly was found guilty of showing serious dissent against the umpire's decision by ICC Match Referee Jeff Crowe in a hearing held after the end of the fourth day's play, an ICC statement said.

Ganguly was reported for making gestures at umpire Daryl Harper, who turned down an appeal for bat-pad catch against Jacques Kallis [ Images ] in South Africa's second innings.

Television replays showed a thick inside edge from Kallis off Harbhajan Singh [ Images ].
