Indian seamer Ajit Agarkar has been ruled out of Monday's one-day triangular series match against Australia in the Netherlands, media reported on Sunday.

Agarkar played in India's 66-run defeat by Pakistan in the first match of the tournament at Amstelveen on Saturday but is suffering from a side strain.

India have been struck by injury setbacks with leading batsman Sachin Tendulkar missing the entire tournament with tennis elbow while spinner Harbhajan Singh and fast bowler Ashish Nehra have been suffering from viruses.

Batsman Mohammad Kaif is also a doubt with a shoulder injury with India needing to beat Australia to have a chance of reaching the final on August 28.

The tournament is a warm-up for the ICC Champions Trophy starting in England on September 10
