Gupta named manager for one-day series

Gautam Das Gupta of Cricket Association of Bengal has been named as the Manager of the Indian cricket team for the Holland triseries and the Natwest Challenge in England.

Gupta will accompany the team as Manager for the tri-nation tournament in Holland (August 21-28) involving India, Pakistan and Australia and the NatWest Challenge one-day series against England , Cricket Board Secretary S K Nair told PTI from Thiruvanathapuram.

"However, we will name the Manager for the ICC Champions Trophy to be held in England from September 10-25 later," he added.

The Sourav Ganguly led Indian team is scheduled to leave for Holland from Mumbai on August 17.
