After his exploits in the Multan encounter, Irfan Pathan will hope to rework his magic in the second Test as well because he will have "special" guests watching him in action from the stands.
The parents of the 19-year-old pace sensation are all set to watch the action live at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore where the second Test begins on Monday.
A Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official confirmed on Saturday that Pathan's parents were among a long list of special guests of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) who would be coming for the Lahore Test.
Pathan is tasting success in Pakistan for the second time. He had bagged the Man of the Series award in the Asian Under-19 Championship held in Lahore and Karachi in November last year.
During the Multan Test, where he impressed immensely with his disciplined bowling, Pathan earned praise from his idol Imran Khan who walked up to him and said "you remind me of a young Wasim Akram".
Meanwhile, wives of some of the Indian players like Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman and Murali Kartik have also reached Lahore.
Middle-order batsman Mohammad Kaif and paceman Ashish Nehra, who were inducted in the squad following injuries to captain Sourav Ganguly and left-arm seamer Zaheer Khan, also joined the team last night.
