Craig McMillan attempts a reverse sweep as New Zealand went for quick runs in the morning session.

Resuming the third day on 536 for 5, the Kiwis added 94 runs in 18.3 overs before declaring at 630 for six.

It was New Zealand's highest Test score against India, beating the 502 scored at Lancaster Park, Christchurch, in February 1968.
