New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming may join Nathan Astle on the injury-hit list of Kiwi batsmen but a final word on his availability for the second cricket Test beginning in Mohali on Thrusday is still awaited.
Fleming took a knock on his head during the team's practice session on Monday evening, team sources said here today. Athough Fleming was wearing a helmet, he complained of slight dizziness after completing the morning practice session. He was immediately rushed to the the Fortis Hospital in Mohali for a precautionary scan. The report is still awaited.
Hospital sources said "it is nothing serious" but a decision on Fleming's availablity for the series-deciding match will be taken only after analysing the scan report.
Earlier, Astle aggravated an injury to his left knee and was ruled out of the one-day triangular series starting on October 23. However, he will play in the second Test.
