The New King!

The double century did not take long as Hayden compiled the next hundred in 82 balls. It contained 13 boundaries and 3 sixes.

This was the Australian's second double century. The first (203) came against India at Chennai in March 2001. Australia lost that match by 2 wickets.

'I could not be more delighted to see Matt achieve such an outstanding feat. He is truly inspirational and a symbol of what this Australian team is trying to achieve,' opening partner Justin Langer said.
