Australia's Six Sorrows

In the last three years, the all-conquering Australians have lost just six Tests. And on all instances, it needed either a stand-out performance from an individual or a record-breaking chase to beat them.

Here's a look at the six sorrows of Australian cricket.

India v Australia, 2nd Test, Calcutta, Mar 2001
Result: India won by 171 runs

Only a record- breaking partnership between V V S Laxman and Rahul Dravid -- 376 runs, the 16th highest for any wicket in Test cricket -- saw India finally put a stop to Australia's 16-match winning streak.
