Valuation is a process by which the value of a company's stock is determined.

This is based on a number of factors like earnings and the market value of the company's assets.

If the stock price is much higher than what it is valued at, it is said to be overvalued or expensive. If it is much lower, it is said to be undervalued or cheap.
