Shareholder Value

Shareholder value is all about maximising the interests of the shareholders of a company.

It is nothing but the total benefit to shareholders from investing in a company. This includes dividends and capital appreciation of the shareholders’ investments.

Both are related to the capacity of the company to generate profits. So higher profits should translate to increase in shareholder value.
