Hedge Funds

Hedge funds comprise of the money of few very rich individuals or institutions who are willing to take high risks with their investment.

This money will be managed by a few individuals and can be invested in stocks abroad, for instance a hedge fund in the US investing in India.
Or, they may even invest in risky ventures in the US itself which have a high return potential.
They also have the ability to go short (sell shares before owning them in anticipation of a price fall).
